About the Role:

As a Product Manager at Allocator, you will work closely with our product and development team to define, drive and execute the product strategy for the business, and ultimately to delight our customers. Your role will require you to support the development, commercialization, maintenance, and enhancement of our software and data management capabilities. The role is multifaceted, and therefore requires someone who excels in a dynamic environment, enjoys diving deep into problems to deliver great solutions, and is a team player.

The ideal candidate is experienced in product development in the financial services industry, and in the application and deployment of solutions to support investment decision processes. This role will be responsible for supporting strategic product priorities in line with commercial goals and managing the development of these priorities within the product development lifecycle. This includes defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and working closely with customer relations, sales and marketing to deliver commercially successful products. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop user requirements for our full-stack product range and position these products for commercial success
  • Act as Product Owner of an Agile scrum team to release functionality on a regular basis
  • Provide insights and market intelligence to identify related market trends and translate these into product improvements or new product propositions that establish a competitive advantage
  • Write detailed user stories to explain product requirements from a user’s perspective and Identify relevant business and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with product operations and development teams – methodology, operations, IT to bring product features to market
  • Provide insights on the investment data management landscape as it relates to software and technology and work with commercial teams to understand client needs and inform product strategy and development priorities
  • Translate insights into actionable product enhancements
  • Building and running test cases to ensure product stability
  • Support the development and maintenance of product visions and roadmaps to ensure competitive offerings that align with evolving market needs and corporate priorities
  • Lead the execution of the product roadmaps, collaborating with internal stakeholders and project managing the development lifecycle for new features in order to bring them to market
  • Help maintain the Allocator knowledge base for customers
  • Assist sales team during the solution validation phase of new customer onboarding
  • Help build product driven marketing campaigns

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline or Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution (Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Economics)
  • Product management experience preferably in the financial services industry or related services
  • Strong product management and execution skills
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats), e.g. strategic plan development, PowerPoint skills, client interaction skills, wireframing, idea generation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working with clients and supporting sales processes
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with ease and manage competing interests in order to deliver strategic projects efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent project management and planning skills
  • Ability to excel in dynamic environments where there is a high degree of uncertainty
  • A genuine team player who is motivated to achieve objectives and overcomes challenges through close collaboration and coordination with other teams
  • Experience with BI Tools like Sisense, PowerBI and Tableau (highly desirable)
  • Programming and SQL (highly desirable)
